Isaiah 40:28-31

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall: but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint.”

It is really encouraging to know that God never grows tired, never grows weak. He is constant. We can always count on him whether or not we can count on anyone else. Personally this passage encourages me a lot lately because I often feel tired and I feel as though I cannot give anything else because I’ve worked so hard and I have reached my overload point. Reading this verse, I know that no matter what goes on in this life and no matter how weary I become, God will give me the strength to keep going. I think God made us able to get tired and run out of steam so that we might have to rely on Him for strength. Our weakness tends to draw us closer to Him.
